Mohit Khaitan– Feedback on Level 1 Workshop (2025/1)

Hi there,
I will take this liberty on behalf of the students in Misfit to inform you that this is not a paid feedback and none of them are which you might have come across over social media š It is out of sheer love and the one in a lifetime experience that the students have felt during the course of the workshop.
Like mentioned above, ONE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE… YES!
I was always fascinated by movies and the actors who play various characters on screen no matter big or small and I always used to question, how do they do this? Why do I feel that connection with the character or the story in the movie? What is it that drives me to watch my favourite movie again and again? I think this workshop helped me answer all the above questions very accurately.
Although whatever we have been taught is just the tip of the iceberg, it has opened a completely new perspective of how I watch movies now and see things in real life.
It was after 2 years of research that I decided to join this workshop and I can confidently say it was worth every penny. Right from day 1, each and every class was an outburst of emotions I never experienced in my life before.
The very first class, we were taught an important lesson to understand why so many great ideas die. And you canāt imagine the fun exercise we had to learn that lesson š But all the high of this fun and giggles drop dead in the second class, when we were given the glimpse of how actors access those deep, real, raw emtoions on screen or stage. Where is that coming from? Now we know.
Without revealing anything, Iāll say It was scary. No one wants to go to that place but that is where those emotions stem from. Advisory, please do not try this at home!
Now comes the next week and subsequent classes,
I was way more excited than ever to learn what is next and this feeling kept on building more and more with each week passing by.
The observation class, The improvisation class where we went into a mental roller coaster to build the funniest stories we could think of and trust me you would die of laughter with the ideas people came up with. The pantomime class, The trust class, and the last class which i want to but will not tell about š
With all the above about acting, there were many instances where you grow as a person too.
You learn to use your voice, your expressions, your body all in unison to bring the best version out of you.
The high you get after a good performance is unparalleled. I was lucky to feel it once, it literally felt i could do everything in a single day, 24 hours seemed less to me. I found myself smiling throughout the day for no reason at all. It was amazing! This workshop has been one of my best decisions in my life. It’s an overall package that will however teach you about acting, but also will help you grow personally. Lastly, the friends you make along the way. I might be exaggerating, but the kind of bond that we all share, it’s like even if I need them in the middle of the night I am pretty sure they are just a call away.
There is this statement I make most of the time that,
“I am not afraid of anyone in this whole wide world except my Mom for no reason, because she somehow seem to know everything about what I might be feeling or hiding :P” Then I meet this man Mr. Vishal Nayer, and he becomes the second person in my life who I think I am afraid of because he knows and you cannot afford to fool around with him.
He is a magician who will pull rainbow parrots from your soul – Pure Magic š #RESPECT #LOVE
Thanks & Regards
Mohit Khaitan
