Hi Vishal,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing to convey to you my sincere gratitude and many thanks for the beautiful workshop you have curated as part of Level 1.
I was at a place in my career where I knew the craft of acting meant something, but it had become difficult for me to understand why I chose to take this path. Through the many hurdles I faced to accept the choice I made for myself, the noise outside made it worse. Upon stumbling onto your profile, referred to me by a family friend, I knew exactly that you were the person I wanted to sharpen my skills with. After completing the 6 weekends we did together, I can confidently say, I was right in all sense to believe that this workshop would help me realise a much bigger dream. The whole process of being an actor had become a chore for me when I wrote to you, I can positively say post the workshop that a heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulder and made me purely enjoy the process of this craft!
To the main point, The Workshop, 6 WEEKENDS, 12 CLASSES, 8 HOURS EVERY CLASS. This is how I read it in the introduction email, but every class had something to take away. This workshop taught me that this profession is so much more than what we see it for, the glitz, the money, beyond it all, is something so precious and pure, the CRAFT OF ACTING. The workshop opened this perspective to me in a way that made so much sense, one that helped me explore the person I am in a deeper sense, helping me ground myself. I have always believed that when we have clarity in our work and stay committed to it, no external factor can truly shake us. This workshop was that very foundation I needed, roots that can not be uprooted by turbulent winds(in this case the noise outside that is ever so present and can easily distract you).
Vishal, the dedication you and your team of people that came to help(Nazar, the mentors(Amit and Manju for me)) put in throughout the workshop has absolutely inspired me to be a better person and professional, simply because of the commitment they showed. This was not just a workshop, which I say, has helped me better my skill in acting but one that also will be a determining factor in becoming the person I aspire to be. I truly admire the energy you bring into each class and hold until the very end of each day. I must say your energy is very contagious in a very positive way.
The course in itself was so detailed and syllabus with a structure easy to understand and get with. The class has also got me connected in a way that makes me celebrate every aspect of the process that was taught to me!
Lastly, I truly am grateful to Mr. Ratan Thakore Grant, who I have fondly heard you call “Baba”, a man I have never met but through your good work have felt what an impeccable human being he must have been. I hope the best for all your endeavours and hope you continue doing the good work!
I really look forward to being in class again for my Level 2, until then I hope to be associated with the workshop in whatever capacity I can! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful lessons and the beautiful memories that I will always cherish!
