At the surface it’s an acting workshop
You learn the technicalities of becoming a great actor
Someone worthy of a broadway show or an award winning movie
But it’s so much more than that – it’s a mirror where you get to meet your innermost, most authentic, foolish, carefree self; It’s therapy.
If someone told me I could focus for 9 hours straight
With just a 30 minute lunch break
I would laugh at them; But Vishal showed me out of that limiting belief
Showed me what my body and mind could take.
We learnt to push our boundaries
While respecting that of our co-actors’
In this safe space, we learnt to trust, we learnt to fall
We created fun characters, and spoke to imaginary nothings in the fourth wall.
The curriculum is so well structured
A perfect blend of practicals and theory
Every exercise is so thoughtfully curated
It’s so much fun, not a moment (or mawment as Vishal says ;)) is dreary
A teacher, a guide, a healer, a friend
A beautiful human with a heart of gold and a personality to match
