Mitravardhan Singh- Feedback on Level 2 Workshop (2023/1)

Having already completed Level 1, I had learned how to go on stage, be comfortable laughing at myself. But what about being vulnerable with my emotions? How do I open all the hidden doors in my mind in order to actually feel the emotions? And not just that, how do I project it?
This search led me to Level 2, to once again be vulnerable in front of 15 other people, so that I could become comfortable enough to show my vulnerability in front of countless others. I embarked on another six-week journey, hoping to have as much fun as Level 1.
But goddamn, was I wrong? While it was fun for sure, the commitment it required was nowhere close to what we were used to. Revisiting various memories, going through all the details once again, having endless breakdowns, and going back home almost every day with headaches. But oh boy was it fruitful. At the end of the tunnel, you don’t just find light, but also a truckload of clarity, joy, self-belief, and a whole lot of things about yourself. This is one of the closest things to soul searching you’ll ever do.
I personally broke through so many barriers, identified so many areas of improvement, and learned how to address them while incorporating a whole lot of technicalities into my characters.
At the end of the workshop, do you come out as the best actor in the world? Probably not, but it starts an amazing process for sure, which if you follow religiously, you’ll reach really close to your goals. That’s not it; you come out as a much more self-aware version of yourself with a whole lot of self-belief. The only issue is, I will never be able to go through this workshop for the first time again. Definitely a workshop I’d recommend to everyone, whether you want to pursue acting or not.
Lastly, a big thank you to everyone who was associated with this workshop at any level: my peers, the people working behind the scenes, the mentors, and of course, Vishal. You all made it the greatness it is.
