Hrishita Brahma – Feedback on Level 1 Workshop (2023/1)

When 2023 rolled around and with a lot happening personally, I didn’t think I would do much the entire year again. Then one day @nazarabulhassain sent me this post announcing Vishal’s workshop. I thought, “Oooh yes, this looks interesting! I will look into it!”. I did my research, and I heard a lot about MISF!T from Nazar. Also, read his feedback about the workshop Vishal had conducted earlier. But I was still very hesitant. Just a few days before the interview, I decided to just jump the gun and go for it. I can now confidently say that it was the best decision I ever made!
Those six weekends have been the most intense, fulfilling, fun, riveting, and exhausting(in the best way possible!) weekends of my life. And honestly, the best possible way to start the year. I loved all the topics and aspects of the craft that was covered in this workshop. Learning actors’ magi, characterization, improvisation, pantomime, projection of voice, and also script creation! And even as I started writing this, I was thinking about having a “beginning, middle, and an end!!” 🙈. Implementing all of this in the form of short plays was such a fun learning experience. Learning this has definitely made me grow as an actor, performer, and storyteller.
A BIG THANK YOU to all the mentors who were a constant support throughout this workshop. Thank you for all the guidance, input, and constructive criticism!❤️
Another thing that I noticed with every single MISF!T student I met over the course of this workshop, was their unconditional love for their Baba, which was truly heart-warming and admirable! And a very rare sight to witness.

Thank you, @vishal.nayer, for the support, and for all the faith you had in us, all the encouragement to play by our strengths, and for pushing us to work on our weaknesses and be better actors everyday. And lastly, thank you for letting us BE FOOLISH!! Looking forward to more workshops like these in the future!😁😁
