Akhil Parameswaran- Feedback on Level 2.1 Workshop (2022/1)
I did my Level 1 and Level 2 acting course at Misfit back in late 2017. Misfit has always been akin to home because I met my kind of crazies there. The theatre space liberated me, gave me self-confidence and taught me to work on myself. When Vishal mentioned that he is planning to start an experimental workshop called L2.1 RT, to take us back to what Baba taught us while adding his own flavors to it, I had thoughts that overwhelmed me with self doubt and scepticism running in my head, telling me not to do it. A lot had changed for me in the past 5 years. I felt I wasn’t ready for it! But then I decided to join anyhoo!!!
IT BECAME ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I HAD TAKEN IN RECENT TIMES!!! When you spend a lot of time with an individual and look up to him as your mentor, the traits of that person often rubs off on to you at various levels. That is exactly what I observed while Vishal took us through lots of materials and exercises to work on. It took us one class to bring that top notch energy dynamics that Baba used to ignite during our L1 and L2. Everything that Baba taught us took over and it was some of the most actively happening moments I’ve had since my woeful pre-peri-post pandemic zombie mode life!!!!
To all the people involved, I am truly grateful. Nazar, for your initiative and incredible resilience in making this happen, Amit, for generously supporting us with your equipments, Adi, for patiently bringing our acts to life on Camera, to all the people who dropped in and out supporting us and all my fellow peers who worked with me on this amazing workshop!!!! Thank you Vishal…..for encouraging us to continue sharpening our skills again and do justice towards the art form! I am sure there’s many, many more to come. We did start the fire! Also, immensely grateful to Ratan baba for your love. I miss you and hope you’re at peace, wherever you are! Thank you!
