Aishwary Choudhary– Feedback on Level 1 Workshop (2025/2)

Email address: connect.aishwary@gmail.com

Workshop Structure:

The Level 1 workshop is brilliantly designed for all, requiring no prior acting experience. It begins with relatable foundations and gradually progresses into MCV(you’ll learn in class), step-by-step character building, voice practice, and clearing vocal & physical clutters. Participants explore improvisation (do’s & don’ts), storytelling, miming & pantomime, and an audition chapter that prepares them for real-world scenarios. It also covers adapting to the camera with practical exercises, and finally culminates in an audience show where participants bring their learnings to life.

Teaching Style: Vishal has a rare ability to read people, quickly identifying where each participant stands on their learning curve. His teaching is deeply process-oriented, ensuring that learning is built gradually and internalized step by step rather than rushed. He gives everything to explain concepts with absolute clarity, while constantly encouraging everyone to do their best and to grow a little every day. Vishal’s approach goes far beyond acting, instilling valuable life lessons along the way. Each day, he brings unmatched energy that uplifts and inspires the entire class. His emphasis on personal growth, rooted in positivity, helps participants see the strengths in their performances while also developing the self-awareness needed to bridge gaps and improve.

Community:

Misfit as a community is one of the safest, most welcoming spaces to explore creativity. From the very first moment, everyone is made to feel valued and respected. You find people from every aspect of life, bringing diverse experiences and giving exposure to all domains of life and theatre. The environment encourages breaking inhibitions, embracing vulnerability, and adapting to diverse characters. The support and encouragement from peers make it easier to experiment, take risks, and discover new dimensions of creativity. It is a truly inclusive space that not only nurtures acting skills but also empowers participants to think beyond boundaries.

Personal Journey:

MiSFIT has been a truly transformative journey for me. From day one, I had many inhibitions and spent more time thinking than doing. Being here, I realized personal traits such as being overly self-critical and often feeling stuck in life. By the final day, I learned to trust my body and let learning by doing become a natural way of reacting. I explored my creative side by developing multiple characters, observing more deeply, creating interesting stories, and understanding people from all domains of life.

Being in an environment that excites me and motivates me to learn and explore myself has been truly empowering. MiSFIT has helped me break inhibitions and step confidently into a more expressive, fearless version of myself. Thanks, Misfit, for being the ray of light!

Sincerely

Aishwary
